DDW Pic 764. Liberty Square Riverboat

Liberty Square Riverboat
Today we say Happy 42nd Birthday to the Liberty Square Riverboat attraction, which opened on October 2nd, 1971. This was the day after the Magic Kingdom first opened. Although the original boat, the Admiral Joe Fowler, is no longer in service, the current "Liberty Belle" has been cruising the Rivers of America since 1973. It was originally called the Richard F. Irvine before undergoing a major refurbishment in 1996, when it was renamed the Liberty Belle.  I took this picture today, as my tour guests were enjoying the Country Bear Jamboree.
